Location and Local Attractions

Bordering the National Park, and set in the Lower Alpujerra mountains lies the quaint Spanish town of Canjayar. With whitewashed houses and superb surrounding scenery, Canjayar has retained its traditional character and although it is only 45 mins to the coast, tourists rarely visit.
Central to Canjayar is the local church on the hill (which can be seen from the property). In the village square you can find a bank, ATMs, cafes and tapas bars. Almeria is just 45 mins away by car as are the unspoilt beaches of Capo de Gata and Mojacar.
